@g-uncleray Yes, the Interaction Cutscene Player didn’t make it into V0.5. We didn’t want to keep the developers waiting too long for V0.5, so we moved it to V0.6.

Development on V0.6 has already started... but we don’t have a fixed release date yet. After V0.5 is released, we’ll create a devlog topic for V0.6 and share the progress there, just like this one!

@g-uncleray It should be available on Fab by the end of this month or sooner. I’m expecting it to be sometime between the 19th and 23nd, based on when we submit the update and the estimated time it may take for Epic to review and approve it.

Update 0.5.1 – Dev Log

The following changes have been implemented so far for Update 0.5.1:

  • Added the ability to shoot without aiming in First-Person Mode.

  • Added flashlight state support to the Save/Load system. If the player saves the game while the flashlight is on, it will remain on when the game is loaded.

  • Fixed an issue with the Pickup System when picking up multiple items placed very close to each other.

  • Fixed a bug related to sprinting and releasing the W key.

  • Fixed a bug related to using the Chest-Based Flashlight in First-Person Mode.

More details and improvements coming soon!

@hosna Hey, in some places I saw an “Experimental” note. When will it be removed — in v0.5.x, v0.6.x, or v1.0?

@g-uncleray Those Experimental notes are specifically related to GASP, not the framework itself.

Update 0.5.1 – Dev Log

  • Fixed an issue where the page index was not resetting correctly when switching between Notes/Files.

  • Fixed an issue where the Inventory UI could be duplicated and remain on screen when rapidly toggling the Inventory while holding certain gamepad inputs.

  • Fixed an issue where pressing an empty hotkey while a two-slot weapon was equipped could cause the weapon system to bug out.

Thanks a lot @krazykracka for reporting these! Both issues have been fixed and the fixes will be included in v0.5.1. Really appreciate you taking the time to report them!

Update 0.5.1 – Dev Log

  • Improved weapon vertical offset handling by limiting how far the weapon can move up or down based on the current aiming state. This helps prevent weapon/shot alignment issues at extreme aiming angles and prevents the weapon from clippin into the ground in situations such as crouching.
  • Expanded the weapon laser system to support Rifles and Shotguns.

Hello @hosna! I was just wondering if you have an estimated timeframe for the release of Update 0.5.1. No pressure at all I’m just looking forward to the update and excited to see the new improvements.

Thank you for your hard work, and keep it up! 🙌

@fabio I don't have an exact timeline to share just yet, but we're aiming to release Update 0.5.1 within the next week or two. Of course, there's also Epic's review queue to factor in, which can affect the exact release date.

Thanks for your patience and support 🙂
