How can I replace Character Creator 5? Are there plans to ensure compatibility with CC5?

The framework is designed to work plug-and-play with the MetaHuman and UE5 Epic skeletons… While CC5’s skeleton is not available as a plug-and-play option, you can still use it by creating a retargeter for your character’s skeleton, retargeting the animations, and setting up an animation Blueprint similar to the ones provided for MetaHuman and UE5 characters in the framework.

I have assigned all the animations, but I can't find where to change the animation for picking up keys and inspecting items: AM_Pickup_1, AM_Pickup_2, AM_Pickup_3, AS_InspectKey_Custom. Please tell me, thank you.

@g-scairp In the Character class, the Interact Animation variable contains most of the interaction animations, which you can find and assign there.

For the pickup animations specifically, you can select any item you have placed in the level and set its pickup animation directly in the Details panel.

I reassigned the animations to my character like in the video "Getting Started with a Modern Survival Horror Environment - #2 Add Your Weapons!", but they don't work.

My character from Character Creator 5
skeleton UE5

Here is a link to my old project where I could do this, see the example

Here are the animations I want to add.
Reload_Shotgun_Hip
Fire_Shotgun_Hip

MilitaryWeapDark

Animation Starter Pack

@g-scairp The tutorial video shows how to replace the default weapons with your own custom weapons. You can also replace the related animations with your own animations.

Could you please explain exactly what issue you're experiencing? If possible, send a short video showing the problem, along with some additional details about what you've changed. This will help me understand what's going wrong and guide you more efficiently.

Look at how it's done in my project. https://youtu.be/80RhPzcsz6w

Can you add AM_Shotgun_Reload_FP and Fire_Shotgun_Hip_Montage to the Modern Survival Horror Framework? So your mechanics don't break?

Here is your project and what I added https://youtu.be/fMbWNECfNHw

Reload_Shotgun_Hip_Montage does not add ammo or play animation

Fire_Shotgun_Hip_Montage doesn't play animations

@g-scairp Hey! Have you configured the Montage Slots the same way as in the default setup? For example, the reload and shooting montages should use the UpperBody slot.

Also, v0.5.0 has now been released, so you can test it there as well.

Keep in mind that CC5 characters differ slightly from Unreal Engine’s default UE5 Epic Skeleton, which can cause some animation offsets. For better animation results, we recommend either using the standard UE5 character/skeleton, creating a custom retargeter for your character, or slightly modifying the animations to correct any remaining offsets.

For the best compatibility with the framework, we recommend using Unreal Engine’s default UE5 Epic Skeleton.

Thanks, I figured out the animation. I just needed to specify the slot as in photo 03 UpperBody, and everything worked.
