@farshad No problem. Adding a "set health to 0" directly after the Received damage type - Headshot - True branch also creates the unkillable zombie (if the health is set really high)

@ben4886 Hey Ben, I did the necessary checks. You only need to do two things:

First, open BP_EnemyMaster and in the ApplyDamageAfterDetachZombieHead function, add the Died variable with a True state.

Then, for the child classes (except BP_ZombieLyingDown, since it doesn't have a headshot), make a small change to the Branch node in EventAnyDamage as shown in the screenshot I sent. This should fix the issue.

Thanks again for reporting this problem 👍

Hi. I have noticed a few times there can be a bug with the camera switchers. If you walk backwards into a different switcher volume, it might not register and the camera doesnt switch. I've tried it on a fresh project and it is there also. It isn't every time you walkbackwards though

@ben4886 Hmm, interesting. I’ll look into this. It’s possible that the issue could be related to the distance/spacing between the camera switcher volumes, especially if they’re placed too close to each other. I’ll investigate it and see what’s causing it.

Hi. Am going through V2, and have found an issue with the TextInteracts. Using a gamepad, the text doesnt change to the 2nd line of texts, and forces you to quit. Same on the locked doors, and ladder as well. It says Will you go up... but doesnt let you select an option

@ben4886 Do you use Xbox controller? I just tested it on my end and couldn’t reproduce the issue... Could you please describe the exact steps you’re taking? Specifically, are you using the gamepad from the very beginning of the game, or do you switch to the gamepad during gameplay?

Also, if possible, please let me know exactly what actions you perform right before the issue occurs... This will help me reproduce it more accurately. thanks

@hosna yeah it’s an Xbox controller, used from the start. I just walk up to something and interact with it. 1st interaction pressing A (I.e picking something up, opening an unlocked door, clicking on the ladder, works fine) 2nd interaction where you have to press A again, doesn’t do anything

@ben4886 Hey Ben, thank you for details, I have some questions ... Which version of Unreal Engine are you using? Also, are you using the V2 exactly as you downloaded it fresh from the launcher, or have you made any changes to it, for example, copied anything into the project? or copied it into another project?

Finally, are you testing it on the included demo map, or on a custom map?

I tested a fresh version on UE 5.6 and UE 5.8 and performed several tests using TextInteract actors, ladders, and doors in demo map... but I don’t see this issue. If you are also using a fresh version, could you please send me a video showing what step you are doing? That way, I can follow the same steps and try to reproduce the issue on my end.

@hosna I am using UE5.6, and have made a couple of changes. I have added tank controls as Farshad explained for V1.8, Switched to a female mannequin, and added in new physics materials for footstep sound effects. I have tried in a fresh, project, and it works fine. So something i have done has caused this, but i dont know what. I havent changed anything for input other than using d-pad for movement and some audio stuff.

Edit: i removed the Tank controls and now it works. The screenshots are the instructions i followed

Edit 2: it is the turning left and right that is the issue. With forward and backwards, it works fine. With L/R added, it doesnt work

@ben4886 Thank you Ben, for confirming that the fresh version works without any issues.

Regarding the control system, I don’t think V2 made any changes to this part... As far as I know, the movement control system wasn’t changed in the new version.

I’ll take another look to see whether there were any changes to the movement controls between the previous version and V2, but most likely, something may have gone wrong somewhere during the migration of your project to V2? which could be causing this issue 🤔

@hosna Even using a brand new, fresh project, putting in the L/R dpad inputs causes the error. Nothing migrated in at all

@hosna The issue seems to be when adding the Modifier to the DPAD Left in the IMC-Default. Adding in the Negate Modifier is what stops the 2nd interaction from working. If it is set to None, left turning doesnt work, but 2nd interaction does

@ben4886 Thank you Ben, for more details, that’s strange. We didn’t make any changes to this part of the input system in V2, but I’ll investigate this and If I find anything or have an update, I’ll let you know. Thanks again for tracking this down and providing these details!

I found two bugs.

The first one happened after I climbed the stairs into the save room - I somehow ended up in the boss room. Why? The bug seems to be random: sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. I still couldn't figure out what triggers it.

The second bug is also random, and I couldn't figure out what causes it either. After exiting to the main menu and then clicking "Load Game," a red window appears and the game completely freezes. Nothing helps.

I did not actually load a save - the game had already frozen before that.
