@mbthecomposer cool. Ive seen the Blender method, but it is a bit out of my Blender skill set. My way is just a quick way for people to get the effect without too much work
@farshad Hi. For the reload while walking, are you able to show where to set it to upper body only?
Hey, i followed the tutorial to set up my own custom door cinematic ect, my only issue is now that the new audio for my new door isnt synced correctly, I even replaced the audio in the level sequence, also, when i choose not to use cinematic it still plays the original door sound but again not sure where to search to change this.
With cutscene - Unreal Engine 5 2026 08 09 14 55 16 02
Without - No door cutscene
Im so close 🙂 - thank you for the amazing work-
I do have one more question, since starting this project of mine i think i have broken the link with the marketplace because im still using V1.8 and unable to update the framework. I dont have the crow ai and thatd be awesome to add it to my project, especially looking forward to v2 and i hope i can still add these to my current project. I really appreciate the help 🙂
@the-javawockee Hey, thanks for your question!
Chris actually asked a similar question in another thread before, and I explained everything there in detail with screenshots, including how the door sounds are changed both for the no-cutscene version and for the version with cutscenes.
Please check this thread, and if you still have any questions, let me know, and I’ll be happy to provide more guidance 😀
As for updating, once V2 is released, you will be able to download a fresh version through the Epic Games Launcher. I recommend updating the launcher to the latest version before downloading the framework.
@farshad Hi, since I’ve been working on prototypes so far and would like to start the actual project, do you recommend waiting for CSHF V2?
@mbthecomposer Hey Michele,
Since you’re about to start your actual project, I’d recommend waiting for CSHF V2. It’s planned to be released this month, assuming there are no unexpected issues, so I think it would be better to start with V2 rather than having to migrate everything later.
@mbthecomposer Perfect! By the way, I’m glad to see you around the forum more! It feels great to have a place where all of us crazy classic survival horror fans can come together, share ideas, and discuss the genre we love 😀
@mbthecomposer the craziest thing of all is i have everything i actually need to make a re nemesis 2 lol i mean just think about it......and well i am gonna have to migrate my project unfortunately since i have done a ton of work already but not much to the bp ...i have added cutscenes and added enemy meshes and player meshes so i am hoping its not to difficult to migrate my current project to v2
@farshad Hi, I know you'll be adding the "Zombie Grab & Bite System" mechanic in the future. I wanted to ask: if I wanted to implement it in my project once version 2.0 comes out, would it be difficult?
@mbthecomposer Yes, implementing it shouldn’t be too difficult, although it does require some attention to detail.
I’m actually very happy that Ben has already implemented this system successfully in CSHF. He shared it in this post. Maybe @ben4886 can also share his thoughts on how challenging the implementation was for him and whether there were any particular difficulties along the way 😀
