weapon reload issue

hello there when i add the black pistol from the market place dark military weapons when i reload the mag kinda floats around with the weapon and does not disappear could u have a look and see what the issue might be .....lol it might just be me being me and missing the finer detail but any advice would be appreciated thank you

Hi Chris, I hope you're doing well and have made good progress in development so far.

The issue is that when you change the weapon model, you also need a synced reload animation for both the weapon mesh and the character mesh. The default reload animations are designed for the default weapons.

In other words, the "WeaponReloadAnimation" variable (which is the animation for the weapon mesh) and the "CharacterReloadMontage" variable (which is the reload animation for the character) must match properly.

If you look at the pistol reload animation in the Dark Military Weapons asset you mentioned, you’ll notice that the magazine being removed from the pistol is animated differently compared to the character’s reload animation.

So for your new weapon reload animation, you either need a unique character reload animation as well, or you can adjust the magazine reload animation to better match the default character reload setup.
