I think you should add push objects like resident evil to the template.

@deepspacedaz Thanks for the suggestion! Great idea, it is under review and will likely be considered for a future update 👍

I wanted to suggest to add an optional way to have the character walking while aiming like in Dino crisis 1 back in the day. It could be an optional modular feature or a new game mode. Of course this is if you think it'll work. But I think it will allow devs to go beyond the Resident Evil nostalgia factor. However I love it as it is. Just thinking it might help devs.

Hi Devs! I practiced a little bit and really liked your template, I have a couple suggestions for you (and I remind the "modern movement alternative", relative to the camera I suggested on Patreon, you can see it in most of classic RE like games remakes and tributes, Tormented Souls, RE1 HD Remaster, Onimusha Warlords...).

Camera

  • Configurable Camera Deadzone (X/Y)
Adjustable deadzone values to control how much the player can move before the following camera reacts, allowing a more classic survival horror camera feel.

  • Camera Rotation Lag
Optional rotation lag (interp) to give the camera more weight and less instant, more atmospheric and discreet.

  • Rail Camera Mode (with Location Lag)
Optional rail-based camera system with configurable positional lag (perfect for spiral staircases or just long corridors).

Interaction / Narrative

  • Audio Playback for Text Interactions
Option to attach audio files to readable interactions (documents, notes, logs), allowing voiced or ambient narrative elements.

Enemies / Zombies

  • Zombie Grab Attack
Dedicated grab state for zombies, increasing close-range threat and tension (It's too easy to run alongside them to escape them).

  • Knife Counter System (Out-of-Inventory)
Ability to counter a zombie grab using a consumable knife stored outside the main inventory.

  • Enemy Spawner Respawn Option
Configurable respawn behavior for enemy spawners to maintain long-term tension in explored areas.

    Wall-Crawling Enemy AI
Optional enemy AI capable of crawling on walls and ceilings (Licker-like behavior), enabling vertical threats and unpredictable encounters (it's probably insanely hard to do but it could be a great addition).

I can't wait for the next update, the crimson head system will be a great addition.

Hey,

Thanks a lot for the detailed suggestions. These are really great ideas and very much in line with classic survival horror design. I’ve added them to our list for review and evaluation, so they can be considered for future updates. I personally love your suggestions for the camera. If you have any specific scenes in mind for the camera features, feel free to share them here; it helps a lot during evaluation.

Also, thanks for the discussion over Patreon, really appreciate your continued feedback there as well 😊

Good evening,

I bought the classic pack yesterday because I really love the old-school style, and I have a few suggestions.

New weapons or alternative designs to choose from.

The possibility to create more puzzles, such as chains, padlocks, or keypads.

Enemies like ghosts, possessed characters, or other types of zombies.

Adding footstep sounds on carpet.

Other types of save systems, like a computer with a floppy disk, for example.

Even more variety in doors, including stairs and their corresponding cinematics.

  1. Anyway, you’ve already done an amazing job. Thank you again! 😉

Hello, Thank you for the warm welcome ☺️

I’d also like to add another suggestion: a flashlight with a proper hand-held animation, and possibly a battery system as well.

That’s all 😁

Hey Auron!

Thank you for all your suggestions! They’ve been added to our list and will be reviewed.

Just to be transparent: some features (especially animation-related ones) have some limitations on our side, since any third-party assets included in the framework must be royality free and safe to distribute. That sometimes affects how and when certain ideas can be implemented.

Really appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

I think in relation to adding zombie grabs, if it proves hard to source royalty free animations a good way around features like this would be to add the functionality but disclaim that the user has to source their own animation and just release a 2 minute tutorial detailing how to implement that would go a long way, it's always nice to have animation examples but in certain cases i think with something like zombie grabs being so core to the genre it's better to have it implemented with no animations than not at all.  Thanks sorry if thats a ramble 🙂

Hey, thank you for the suggestion, and great to have you on the forum as well!

You’re absolutely right, and it’s something we’ve discussed internally as well. Allowing users to plug in their own assets with a short tutorial is a solid approach, especially for animation-related features.

The main reason we haven’t done this yet is that, based on experience, releasing features without at least a placeholder animation often leads to criticism and confusion.

Your point makes a lot of sense though, and we will carefully consider reviewing it. Thanks again for your great feedback.

@konkichifan Haha, glad you like it, I really love the forum vibe too. kind of brings back memories of old-school forums. It feels much better than most modern social platforms.😀
